Udaipur (Rajasthan) : Inordinate delay in fulfilment of the Rajasthan Government's promises has dealt a blow to the security of the two brave hearts who played a key role in arresting the accused duo in the famous Kanhaiya Lal murder case in Udaipur. Shakti Singh and Prahlad began a chase that led to the capture of Kanhaiya Lal Sahu's killers - Riyaz Akhtari and Gause Mohammed in Rajsamand district's Bheem area.
On the basis of the information from the police that the two killers were coming towards Bheem, the local residents - Shakti Singh and Prahlad - chased both the killers for 25 kilometres. Later, the police caught both of them by laying a cordon ahead. During this, Shakti Singh and Prahlad got a lot of accolades for catching both the killers of Kanhaiya. But till now the government has failed to implement the promises made to them. Tailor Kanhaiya was killed for making Nupur Sharma's alleged controversial comments on the Prophet go viral.
Both of them have neither got licensed guns nor the compensation that was to be given as security by the government. They were given 25 thousand rupees each as financial assistance. While talking to ETV India, Shakti Singh and Prahlad not only shared the whole matter of catching Kanhaiya's killers but also remembered the promises made by the government. But today these two brave hearts are scared for their security because the government has not fulfilled any of its promises.

Congress MLA from Bhima, Sudarshan Singh Rawat, has also written a letter to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot urging him to help these two brave hearts. Shakti Singh and Prahlad say that on June 28, after the brutal murder of Kanhaiya Lal Sahu, the killers were reported to be coming towards Bheem. Both the killers were surrounded and nabbed. They said that during this time the killers had sharp weapons.
Even after the arrest, the promises made by the government have not yet been fulfilled. When the police caught the accused with the help of Shakti and Prahlad, the administration applauded them fiercely. The Rajasthan government had also promised to provide guards, gun licenses and jobs for their security. But, not a single promise made by the Gehlot government has been fulfilled.
