In what could be termed as an unusual incident, the Bharatpur police in Rajasthan thrashed the Additional DCP of Jaipur near Mallah Pulia along National Highway 21.

Bharatpur (Rajasthan): The Additional DCP of Jaipur Commissionerate was reportedly thrashed by the Bharatpur police on Thursday near Mallah Pulia along National Highway 21 in Rajasthan.

According to reports, Rajendra Prasad Khoth, the victim, kept on giving his details, but the policemen refused to listen to him and they even ignored the message of the control room.

Khoth has sent a written complaint regarding the incident to higher officials of the department, an official said.

Meanwhile, Bharatpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Devendra Kumar Vishnoi said that he is yet to receive a written complaint in this regard.

"The Additional commissioner was going to Dhaulpur on Thursday late night. He was stopped near the Mallah Pulia by the night patrol party who allegedly beat him up," he added.

He further said that the matter will be investigated thoroughly once the written complaint is made.
