Jaipur (Rajasthan): Rajasthan Congress MLA Chetan Dudi on Friday claimed that attempts were made to lure him into rebelling against the party after his name popped up in the alleged 'horse-trading' audio clips.
Earlier yesterday, the Congress had released three audio clips purporting to be of 'horse-trading' discussions, which it said, were being held between Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and an MLA of Sachin Pilot's camp, who were coordinating via a Jaipur resident.
According to reports, the names of Congress MLAs Chetan Dudi and Vijaypal Mirdha had too popped up in the audio clips.
Speaking at the press conference earlier today, Dudi admitted that attempts were indeed made to lure him, but he flatly refused the offer.
"In the audio clips, even my name has come up. I want to make it clear that attempts were made to lure me, which is connected with the audio clips," he said.
Dudi, however, said that he refused the offer as he was loyal to Congress party.
"I refused the offer as my allegiance firmly lies with the Congress party. Further, I would like to disclose all details to any agency investigating the case," he said.

Meanwhile, Mirdha, the other MLA, sought an explanation from rebel MLA Bhanwar Lal Sharma as to why his name popped up in the clip.
Earlier yesterday, the Gehlot camp claimed that the audio clips were of conversations between Union Minister Gajendra Shekhawat and Pilot loyalist Bhanwarlal Sharma. Gehlot's camp claimed that Shekhawat was in contact with the Congress MLA Bhanwarlal Sharma through Jaipur resident Sanjay Jain.
The press note issued by the Gehlot camp said that audio was of Sharma's updates on the progress in meeting the set target of bringing in 30 MLAs into their fold and the purported voice of Shekhawat, on the other side, says that this will bring in the Gehlot government on its knees.
