Sikar (Rajasthan): Govind Singh Dotasara, Education Minister of Rajasthan, has replaced Sachin Pilot as the Rajasthan Congress Chief after the latter was sacked from the posts of Rajasthan's deputy chief minister and the party's state unit chief on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot met Governor Kalraj Mishra immediately after the Congress Legislature Party meeting where the decision to remove the three ministers was taken.
Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara will be the new Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief.
Back in Dotasara's hometown, his family members were celebrating his appointment as PCC chief.
While talking to ETV Bharat Dotasara's wife said, " We are very happy. Now he has to work even harder for the development of the state. This is a very big responsibility."
"This feels very good. I am very happy to learn about the news. We are looking forward to it," Dotasra's Daughter-in-Law said.

Who is Govind Singh Dotasara?
Govind Singh Dotasra was born on 1 October 1964 in the village of Kriparam Ji in Dhani of Laxmangarh tehsil of Sikar district.
Dotasra is currently serving as the Minister of State for primary and secondary education. He is also the Minister for Tourism and Devasthan in the Government of Rajasthan.
He represents the Laxmangarh constituency of Sikar district of Rajasthan since 2008. He is an active member of the Indian National Congress since 1981.
His father Mohanlal Dotasara was a government teacher. He has completed his education from Sikar district.
In 2005, Dotasara was elected as the head of Panchayat Committee from Congress ticket.
He was elected MLA from Laxmangarh in 2008. After that, he was re-elected as MLA in 2013.
In 2018, he was elected as MLA from Laxmangarh for the third consecutive time.
