Alwar (Rajasthan): Amidst the alleged MLA poaching bid by BJP in Rajasthan, the Special Operations Group (SOG) conducted random checking of vehicles coming into Jaipur from New Delhi on Friday.
Late last night, the SOG's emergency response team (ERT) conducted checks on private vehicles on the Jaipur-Delhi highway under the Behror Police Station Limits.
Speaking to reporters, Neemrana DSP Nawab Khan said that vehicles going towards Jaipur from the national capital were being randomly checked. However, he said the SOG frequently conducted such random checks.
Earlier on Thursday, similar checking was conducted in Shahpura. According to reports, the team had then received inputs about cash being possibly brought in cars for the poaching of MLAs.
This comes after Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had yesterday mentioned during a press conference that an FIR has been lodged with the SOG over the alleged poaching bid.

The complaint reportedly includes phone numbers given by the government. A series of calls were made from these numbers to Congress legislators offering money to break away from the ruling party.
All the numbers have been put under surveillance by SOG.
According to reports, Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau and SOG are investigating the allegations after Congress Chief Whip in the state Assembly Mahesh Joshi on Wednesday wrote to Director General of ACB alleging that attempts are being made to destabilise the State Government by luring his party's MLAs and independent MLAs who support the Government.
