After Punjab and Kerala, Rajasthan to now move resolution against CAA

The ruling Congress in Rajasthan is all set to bring a resolution in the state Assembly against the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act, Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot informed.

Jaipur: Following the lines of Kerala and Punjab, the Congress government in Rajasthan will also bring a resolution against the Citizenship Amendment Act in the Assembly, said Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot on Thursday.

Pilot said the government should not shy away from dialogue

Speaking to reporters, Pilot said, "Everyone has the right to express their dissent. Our government will also bring a resolution against the Citizenship Amendment Act in the State Assembly."

With this, Rajasthan will become the third state after Kerala and Punjab to pass a resolution against the contentious Act, which has triggered nationwide protests.

CAA provides for granting citizenship for Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians, who had migrated to India before December 31, 2014 but not to members of the Muslim community.

नाना पटेकर म्हणाले की, गुन्हेगारी प्रवृत्तीमध्ये सगळ्यात महत्त्वाची गोष्ट माझ्या आई च्या बाजूने, मामा ची मुलं ही तशी होती. त्यांच्यापासून मी लांब राहावं म्हणून आई मुरुड ला घेऊन गेली. पण, ते आहे कुठे तरी आत. जात नाही नाही ती गोष्ट. मन्या सुर्वे हा माझा मामे भाऊ आहे. मला अस वाटत की तो मी होऊ नये यासाठी आई गावाला घेऊन गेली. गुंड हे शांत असतात. अशिक्षित माणूस गुंड झाला परवडतो. सुशिक्षित माणूस गुंड झाल्यानंतर गोंधळ असतो. तो सगळा विचार करू शकतो.

दंगलीच्या वेळी सगळ्यात जास्त हिंसक हा सामान्य माणूस असतो. आत मधून तुंबलेला असतो. तो व्यक्त कधी झालेला नसतो. व्यक्त न होणे हा गुन्हा आहे. ऐकतो सहन करतो. प्रश्न विचारत नाहीत. राजकारण्यांना प्रश्न विचारायला पाहिजेत. आपण मत देतो, मग प्रश्न विचारण्याचा अधिकार आहे. पाच वर्ष्यानी एकदा मत मिळत मग त्याचे धिंदोडे का काढता? का त्याची गाढवावर बसून का धिंड काढता? आमचं मत आहे तुम्ही कशावर बसवलं आहे. पण गप्प बसतो. या सर्वांचा त्रास होतो अस नाना म्हणाले.
