7 injured in firing as two groups clash in Rajasthan

Seven people were injured after they received bullet injuries at Patrapada village Simco colony under Udyog Nagar police station area in Rajasthan's Bharatpur district. Group clash due to the previous enmity is suspected.

Bharatpur: As many as seven persons have been injured in a firing incident occurred in Rajasthan's Bharatpur on Thursday.

The incident occurred at Simco colony under Udyog Nagar police station area, where members of two groups clashed following heated arguments.

According to police, the incident was a fallout of an argument between the two groups over a minor issue.

Following the argument, members of the two groups started firing at each other from their rifles and locally-made weapons, police said.

The injured have been referred to RBM hospital in Bharatpur for treatment.

The incident enraged the local villagers, who alleged that had the police paid heed to their complaints, the incident would not have occurred.

Meanwhile, Bharatpur police have initiated a probe and initial investigation suggests a previous enmity behind the clash. They have held a few suspects who are being interrogated.
