3 killed, several injured as under-construction building collapses in Bikaner

Three people were killed and five injured after an under-construction building collapsed in the Gangashahar area of Rajasthan's Bikaner on Sunday, police said.

Bikaner (Rajasthan): Three people were killed and five injured after an under-construction building collapsed in the Gangashahar area of Rajasthan's Bikaner on Sunday, police said. The incident took place at an under-construction building in front of Jain College in Bikaner. Several labourers are feared trapped under the rubble of the building. The injured were rushed to the hospital after the incident.

According to the reports, seven people have been pulled out from the rubble, and are being treated at local hospitals. The deceased were identified as labourers working in the construction of the building. After the incident, Bikaner police and local administration reached the spot and are trying to rescue the remaining labourers buried under the rubble.

Union Minister of State Arjun Meghwal and Energy Minister BD Kalla expressed grief over the incident and instructed the hospital administrations to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured. Meanwhile, an investigation into the cause of the collapse has been initiated.
