Jalore (Rajasthan): Three farmers were killed and two were seriously injured due to electrocution while working in the field last evening in the outskirts of Surachand village of Chitlwana subdivision area in Jalore district. Forest and Environment Minister Sukhram Bishnoi will meet the families of the dead and console them, according to his personal secretary.
The farmers came in contact with LT wire in the feeder connected to Surachand GSS of Chitalwana subdivision area of Jalore district. They were working to level the land in the field of Cheema Ram's son Khia Ram Meghwal in Narayanpura Surachand border. They raised the pole to lift the wire of LT line passing over that ground and as there was no shutdown they got electrocuted. Despite getting them to the hospital immediately two of them could only be saved.

"Khia Ram Meghwal, Gula Ram Meghwal and Fuia Ram Meghwal died due to current flow while working in the field. Rana Ram Mali and Khuma Ram Meghwal are hospitalized in critical condition," said Virender Singh, DYSP.
Punamma Ram Bishnoi, assistant engineer of Chitlwana told that the farmers had started work without notice. They came in contact with electric supply as LT was given.
