Three nabbed with Rs 3.6 lakh counterfeit currency in Rajasthan

Three people, Asif, Abhishek, and Major Khan including a ringleader, were arrested by the police with alleged counterfeit Indian currency with a face value of Rs 3.6 lakh in Rajasthan's Sikar. According to the police, two of the accomplices of Asif are currently absconding. A search operation is on to nab the accused.

Sikar: Three people, including a ringleader, were arrested by the police with alleged counterfeit Indian currency with a face value of Rs 3.6 lakh.

"Three accused, Asif, Abhishek and Major Khan have been arrested in the case of counterfeit notes. The mastermind in this crime is Asif, who printed Rs 17 lakh counterfeit notes. Of these, Rs 10 lakh was seized three days ago," Additional Superintendent of Police Devendra Kumar Sharma said.

Asif bought a printing machine in Jaipur, and then along with Abhishek printed fake notes of Rs 17 lakhs, the police said.

According to the information, two of his accomplices are currently absconding. A search operation is on to nab the accused. The police said that counterfeit notes are expected to be recovered from them.

In June this year, over Rs 6.25 lakh in cash have been recovered from Banesh Bansal aka Bablu for betting on the European T10 Cricket League, after conducting a raid at Mansarovar Golden Path in Rajasthan's Jaipur. This is believed to be the highest amount of cash recovery.
