Bharatpur: Bharatpur Police have arrested 11 criminals, who were a part of an inter-state gang that duped people through online transactions, an official said.
They would present themselves as army officers and sell two-wheelers and cars through online portals, Superintendent of Police Amandeep Singh Kapoor told media persons here.
He said 200 army gate passes, 19 mobile phones, 19 bank passbooks over rupees 2.5 lakh in cash and a country-made gun was recovered from them.

The police officer said that the arrest was made on the basis of a tip-off. Some of their accomplices were able to run away from the spot after hitting the police vehicle.
Kapoor said that the information about the all arrested criminals would be shared with all 14 states wherein their gang operated.
He said further probe is on as a lot more information about their activities is expected to be known in the days to come.
