Chandigarh: Actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu took to Facebook to share an emotional note. He raised concerns over his safety and security while stating that someone has given him some suspicious substance and drugged him. Sidhu's post has stirred netizens who are puzzled over the post and some have extended emotional support for him.
"Someone has drugged me by giving me some suspicious substance, I'm not feeling well, I don't know who is doing it, on the other hand, I stand here alone against all political and social odds, now my safety and security has become a serious concern for my family (I am sharing this in order to show the present reality which I myself did not understand first)...may Waheguru bless us all," wrote Sidhu in Facebook.

Recently, Sidhu has slammed Yogendra Yadav, who is at the forefront of the farmers' movement, by terming him as a man of Modi government. He also said Yadav is not a farmers' leader rather he is speaking the language of the Union Home Minister.

Earlier in May, Sidhu was booked by Punjab police for violating Covid norms in Faridkot district. He addressed a gathering in Jaitu and Matta village without wearing a mask, as per police.
Currently released on bail, Sidhu's name is enlisted in the charge sheet filed by Delhi Police on Republic Day violence. In the charge sheet, the police have mentioned that the protesters had a "pre-conceived and well-coordinated" plan to break the agreement between the police and the farmer leaders about the three routes for the tractor rally.
