Chandigarh: Ending suspense, Punjab Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday said he sent his resignation to Chief Minister Amarinder Singh.
"Today I have sent my resignation to the Chief Minister Punjab, has been delivered at his official residence...," he tweeted.

However, the Chief Minister was away in Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. There was no comment on the issue from the Chief Minister's Office.
Earlier on Sunday, Navjot Singh Sidhu tweeted his resignation letter stating that he has resigned from the Punjab Cabinet led by CM Amarinder Singh.
Sidhu posted his resignation letter dated June 10 on his Twitter handle.
Sidhu’s portfolio was recently changed from the Local Bodies’ to the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy but he was yet to take charge.
