Amritsar: A National Investigation Team (NIA) on Friday once again raided the residence of Anwar Masih in Punjab in connection with the seizure of 3,000 kilograms of heroin from Mundra port in Gujarat.
The NIA first raided Anwar's house during the initial investigation in the case. Then the NIA sealed his house and seized mobile phones of his family members.
Separately, Anwar had given his house on rent in July 2020, from where 194 kg of heroin was confiscated. Following which he was arrested by the NIA and the case was being investigated. Then Anwar had even staged a protest on the street pleading not guilty. He had also tried to end his life alleging that the police had implicated him in a false case. Later he applied for bail.
