Sri Muktsar Sahib (Punjab): A farmer has reportedly filed a complaint in a Punjab court against Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut for using offensive language against farmers in her recent tweets.
According to reports, farmer Harsimran Singh Sidhu through Advocates Kuljinder Singh Sandhu and Snehpreet Singh Mann filed a complaint in the court of JMIC Mandeep Singh against Ranaut.
The next hearing has been set for February 15.
Disclosing the details of the case filed, Advocate Kuljinder Singh Sandhu said that on February 3, Kangana Ranaut had tweeted against the farmers' protest in Delhi
The farmers have been hurt by the actress' using words like "terrorist" to refer to them, Sandhu said.
The advocate also claimed that the actress tried to disturb the communal harmony between Hindus and Sikhs through her tweet for publicity.
He said that farmer Harsimran Singh Sidhu has filed a complaint under various sections in the court and demanded strict action against Ranaut.
