Ludhiana: After the Punjab government lifted the curfew restrictions in the state amid lockdown 4.0, the Ludhiana police had a busy day as a number of people thronged market violating the social-distancing norms.
The 'Chauda bazaar' in the city remained crowded and there were no arrangements for maintaining social-distancing by the shopkeepers or the administration.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, local shopkeepers said that due to less police presence, the situation has worsened in the area as no one seems to be following social-distancing norms.
It is to be noted that the nation is under complete lockdown till May 31 to combat the spread of novel coronavirus although Punjab government has decided to lift the curfew in the state and give some relaxation.
