Bhubaneswar: A woman was publicly thrashed and kicked by a group of unidentified assailants in Bhubaneshwar on March 10.
A CCTV footage of the incident shows that the woman was manhandled by around seven people publicly.
The passer-by witnessed the entire incident as silent spectators and they didn't intervene to rescue the woman.
Sabita Sethi (38), a resident of Bindusagar road was manhandled when she was returning home after dropping her son to his tuition classes.
Meanwhile, police have arrested two people in connection with this incident.
Bhubaneshwar DCP said: "Police contacted the lady after knowing about the incident. On our initiative, a case has been registered. The accused has been identified. The attack is over a land dispute. Action under the law is being taken."
