Odisha Class 3 student clears Microsoft test

Venkat Raman Patnaik, a class III student who developed over 250 mobile applications had showed interest in coding at the age of five.

Balangir: Astonishingly, Venkat Raman Patnaik, a seven-year-old boy hailing from Bolangir town in Odisha has cleared the Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), often sought by people who aspire a career in technology. He is the youngest person in the world to crack examination conducted by Microsoft company.

The whiz kid exhibited interest in coding at the age of five years. He had received many prizes by creating more than 250 mobile applications and he was recognized by many global organizations. His achievement at this young age has brought glory for the entire country.

His parents said that he strived seven hours a day for the MTA examination held in November 2020. His expertise in five programming languages enabled him to clear the exam. He aspires to an astronomer in the future.

Watching his keen interest in coding, his family members established contact with a Bangalore based coding school. However, considering his age, the school administrators were hesitant to admit him first. Later, he attended a test and proved them wrong.

The geek managed his regular studies at school with his coding practice. His family members said they would extend full support in enabling him to build a future on his own terms. They wish that he become a successful scientist and serve the people.

His father Kuldip Patnaik is a bank employee and his work is related to internet domain, while his mother D Pramila Kumari works in WESCO ( a power distribution company).
