Keonjhar (Odisha): Exposing the sordid condition of rural healthcare and infrastructure in Odisha, a pregnant woman was made to cross a flooded river to reach the nearby hospital allegedly by an ASHA worker in Keonjhar district.
A video of the same is now doing rounds on social media.
According to sources, the pregnant woman along with the ASHA worker was spotted crossing the river to reach the hospital.
As the incident sparked resentment, the district administration has sought an explanation from the ASHA worker as to why the risky action was taken despite the presence of motorable road from the village.
