Bhubaneswar: Amid the dreaded coronavirus infection and fear due to many positive cases of COVID-19, as many as ten workers of Odisha have been stranded in Karnataka's Bellary district for the last 4 days.
They have requested the central government and Odisha govt to rescue them.
According to sources, due to the nationwide lockdown, as many as ten Odia workers were trapped in Karnataka. Distressed and with no option left, the workers documented a video seeking help from the state and the Union Governments.
"We are stuck in Karnataka's Bellary district for the last 4 days. We are running short of money and starving without getting proper food. There are many more Odias with us here. So, I request Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik to kindly help us get back to our home,” workers said in the video.
