Puri: An ardent fan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has built a sculpture of pure sandalwood and dedicated it to him and his mother.
It is one of the many gestures received by the PM on his birthday.
His fan from Puri, Shreedhar Dash, is a professional sculptor. He has dedicated the sculpture to Modi on the PM's 69th birthday.
Dash’s sculpture is 6 feet high with Modi's mother in the centre. It contains 68 small sculptures of PM Modi along with a large one at the top.
Shreedhar made it from four kilograms of pure sandalwood.
It took him 15 days to complete the work. The artist's slogan is 'Plastic Mukt Desh' and his efforts have been lauded by people from all around the state.
Dash, an ardent supporter of the prime minister, had also sculpted a Modi statue in 2018 based on his Make In India speech.
He had even created a red marble statue of him, measuring 1.5 feet, holding a Gita in his hand in 2016.
