90 hospitalised after the ammonia gas leaks from Shrimp Factory in Odisha's Balasore. No fatalities have been reported from the site.

Balasore: More than 90 persons were taken ill following a gas leak at a shrimp processing unit in Odisha's Khantapada Village in Balasore district on Wednesday evening.

The gas, reportedly ammonia, leaked from one of the units of the plant. A large number of workers were on duty when the mishap took place.

Half of the affected have been hospitalised at Khantapada, while others have been shifted to Balasore district headquarters hospital.

As soon as the incident took place, District administration and local police reached there.

No fatalities have been reported from the site.
