Paradip (Odisha): Three women factory workers at a prawns processing unit fell ill following a gas leak in the Paradip on Sunday.
The incident took place this morning when ammonia gas leaked at Laxminarayan prawn factory. Shortly after the leak, workers at the factory complained of breathing problems and three fell unconscious.
The factory staff rushed them to Atharbanki Group Health Center and later shifted them to SCB medical college and hospital in Cuttack as their health condition deteriorated.
Meanwhile, police and a technical team went to the scene to investigate the matter.
According to a preliminary police investigation, it is suspected that ammonia gas leaked at the processing unit.
