Maoists call for 'Odisha bandh' on Dec 28

The Maoists have given a bandh call for entire Odisha on December 28. Releasing an audiotape, Maoist appeal for observing the bandh. Maoist threatened that their outfit will avenge the recent killings of their comrades by the SOG and DVF jawans. Maoist also threatened to kill all the police informers.

Rayagada (Odisha): Maoists have given an Odisha bandh call on December 28 protesting recent encounter at Alampakka area under 'Swabhiman Anchal' in Odisha's Malkangiri district which claimed lives of two of their prominent cadres.

Releasing an audiotape, Maoist leader Sonali has made an appeal for observing the bandh. She has threatened that their outfit will avenge the recent killings of their comrades by the SOG and DVF jawans. She has also threatened to kill all the police informers.

The Maoist organisation has rejected Odisha DGP Abhays appeal to the rebels for surrendering before police, she said.

She also urged people to make the bandh successful by extending support.

Notably, two Maoists including a woman cadre of the outlawed organisation were gunned down on December 13 during an exchange of fire between security personnel and Maoists.
