Sambalpur (Odisha): In most places, the question of public health care is paramount, and the middle class and the wealthy are generally more dependent on private medical care. Khatikhia village, on the other hand, is deprived of proper treatment because it cannot pay the cost of expensive home remedies.
However, Shankar Ramchandani, a doctor at Burla Bhimsar Medical College, has opened a clinic near his rented house in Burla where the poor can be treated comfortably. Because the doctor's fee for this clinic is only Rs 1, Dr Ramchandani will treat the poor here from 6 to 7 pm after completing his duty.
On Friday, Dr. Ramchandani inaugurated the clinic with his mother. Not just that, as his wife is also a dental surgeon, he will have help too! While Dr. Ramchandani has done a lot for the poor in the past, now locals are also recognising his efforts and praising him.
