Bolangir (Odisha): District administration of Odisha's Bolangir has ordered all educational institutions in the district to remain closed on Tuesday due to heavy rainfall. Bolangir town and several other adjoining areas have waterlogged due to heavy rainfall.
Movement of trains has also been halted temporarily on Sambalpur-Titlagarh section due to water flowing over the track at many locations. Train services would resume after water level recedes. ODRAF teams have launched an operation to shift people from low lying areas to safer places.
According to the meteorological centre, heavy to very heavy rain is expected on Tuesday in north coastal Odisha and other areas in the western and the northern parts of the state, including Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Keonjhar, Balangir, Bargarh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Raygada, Nayagarh and Puri districts.
