Two-wheeler collides with SUV in Maha CM's convoy

In a security breach, a two-wheeler entered the convoy of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and collided with one of the SUVs at Shegaon in Buldhana district. Nobody was injured in the incident that occurred on Saturday evening.

Buldana (Maharashtra): A young man, who tried to intercept the convoy of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, was knocked down by one of the vehicles, here on Saturday evening.

The incident took place in Shegaon of Buldana district, while the minister was returning after offering prayers at Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj temple.

The video of the incident, which surfaced online, shows that the person was trying to sneak into the route when he was hit by a vehicle, following which the convoy halted.

"The two-wheeler entered the convoy after the chief minister's SUV and two other vehicles had passed the stretch of the road. His two-wheeler collided with one of the SUVs," the official said, adding that the biker did not sustain any serious injury.

He was allowed to go after a case was registered against him under section 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 185, 236, 177 of the Motor Vehicle Act, the official added.

Babhulkar, a resident of neighbouring Akola district, was returning after visiting his cousin in Shegaon.

Police took the 27-year-old rider, Roshan Babhulkar, into custody following the incident.

दुसऱ्या टप्प्यातील महाजानदेश यात्रा हि आज शनिवारी 24 ऑगस्ट रोजी शेगावात पोहचली. यावेळी मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस हे श्री संत गजानन महाराजांच्या दर्शनासाठी मंदिरात पोहचले सायंकाळी ते मंदिरातून परत येत असतांना त्यांच्या वाहनातील ताफ्यात मंदिराजवळच रस्त्याच्या दुसऱ्या बाजूकडून युवकाने आपली मोटार सायकल घुसविण्याचा प्रयत्न केला.यामध्ये ताफ्यातील एका वाहनाची त्या युवकाच्या मोटार सायकल ला जोरात धडक बसली यावेळी मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस हे अपघातग्रस्त वाहना पासून तिसऱ्या क्रमांकाच्या वाहनात होते. युवकाच्या मोटार सायकल ला धडक बसताच ताफा अचानकपणे थांबला. घटना घडताच पोलिसांनी घटनास्थळी धाव घेत युवकाला ताब्यात घेत मोटारसायकल बाजूला घेऊन ताफ्याचा रस्ता मोकळा केला युवकाने मुख्यमंत्र्यांच्या ताफ्यात अनावधाने गाडी टाकली कि हेतुपरस्परपणे टाकली याचा शोध पोलीस घेत आहे.
