Chandrapur (Maharashtra): Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve which was closed since last three months due to Corona outbreak will now be reopened for tourists. From July 1, tourists will be able to tour the buffer zone in Tadoba. However, tourists will have to follow certain guidelines and take utmost care with respect to Coronavirus, since the virus has not yet gone and is still hovering over our lives.
Tourists will have to compulsorily use their own mask, sanitizer. As per the guidelines, Tourists will be able to tour from the 13 entry gates of the buffer zone. Temperature of each and every tourist will be checked through a digital thermometer at each entry point and tourists showing symptoms of fever will not be allowed to tour Tadoba. In addition to these guidelines, some more terms and conditions are issued for touring of Tadoba buffer zone.
Government has disallowed tourism in the core zone and has only allowed tourism in the buffer zone of Tadoba. While beginning tourism in the buffer zone, 6 gypsies will be allowed from each entry point. This includes 4 buffer and 2 core zone gypsies. This decision has been taken to provide employment to gypsy drivers and guides in the core zone since the particular zone will remain closed.
Tadoba Tiger reserve was closed since March 18 in order to control the spread of coronavirus. Tadoba administration has faced a loss of more than Rs 3.5 crores. Also the gypsy drivers, guides lost their jobs and have been facing problems as their employment was completely dependent on Tadoba Tiger reserve. The gypsy drivers, guides, nature lovers, tourists have heaved a sigh of relief with this decision.
