Shiv Sena-BJP spat heats up, spills onto social media

The spat between the BJP and Shiv Sena over Narayan Rane's comments escalated leading to clashes between the workers of both parties on Tuesday in Mumbai. Shiv Sena workers also pelted stones at the BJP party office in Nashik while raising slogans against Rane.

Mumbai: After Union Minister Narayan Rane was granted bail, his son MLA Nitesh Rane posted a video on Twitter giving a veiled warning to Shiv Sena. The video, a 23-second snippet from the movie 'Rajeenti', shows actor Manoj Vajpayee delivering the dialogue "Karara Jawab Milega".

The spat between the BJP and Shiv Sena over Narayan Rane's comments escalated leading to clashes between the workers of both parties on Tuesday in Mumbai. Shiv Sena workers also pelted stones at the BJP party office in Nashik while raising slogans against Rane.

The spat has now spilt over into the digital forum with top leaders of both parties taking potshots at one another.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut also took to Twitter to targeting Rane. Raut posted the picture of a tiger holding a chicken in its jaw, with the caption - "Today in a nutshell."
