PMC bank scam: Won't let injustice happen to anyone, CM Fadnavis assures account holders

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis broke his silence over ongoing crisis over the PMC Bank and assured the account holders of justice. He also said that he can't comment openly since the Model Code of Conduct is in place.

Thane: Amid ongoing crisis over the PMC Bank, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis faced PMC depositer's protest after a rally in Thane on Friday. Fadnavis broke his silence and assured the account holders of justice.

He also said that he can't comment openly since the Model Code of Conduct is in place.

"We have initiated the process...I can't speak openly since the MCC is in place. On October 13, Prime Minister is going to be with us, and I am going to brief him. I have made a complete note of it and I am going to hand it over to him as I can't tell him publicly. I will do a follow up after 21 and will not let injustice happen to anyone, "he added.

The scam at PMC Bank has affected thousands of its depositor as their money is stuck with after RBI put a withdrawal limit at Rs 25,000 per account last month.

मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांच्या ठाण्यातील सभेत उपस्थित असलेल्या पंजाब महाराष्ट्र (पीएमसी) बँकेच्या संतप्त खातेदारांनी निदर्शने केल्याने खळबळ उडाली.हातात फलक घेऊन न्याय देण्याची मागणी करणाऱ्या या खातेदारांची मुख्यमंत्र्यांनी भेट घेऊन याचा पाठपुरावा करून पंतप्रधानांनाही यात लक्ष घालण्यास सांगेन.असे आश्वासन निदर्शकांना दिले.
विधानसभा निवडणुकीच्या प्रचारासाठी मुख्यमंत्री शुक्रवारी ठाण्यात आले होते.ठाणे महापालिकेसमोरील रस्त्यावर रात्री पार पडलेल्या जाहीर सभेत मुख्यमंत्र्यांनी पाच वर्षात केलेल्या विकास कामांचा उहापोह केला.दरम्यान,सभा संपल्यानंतर माघारी निघत असतानाच महापालिका मुख्यालयाच्या आवारात गोळा झालेल्या पीएमसी बँक खातेदारांनी हातातील फलक दर्शवून मुख्यमंत्र्यांसमोर निदर्शने करण्यास सुरुवात केली.काही दिवसापूर्वीच पीएमसी बँकेवर रिझर्व्ह बँकेने निर्बंध टाकल्याने बँक बुडीत निघाली.या पार्श्वभूमीवर बँकेतील आमची रक्कम परत करून आमचीही दिवाळी झगमगू द्या.अशा मागण्या खातेदारांनी केल्या.अखेर,खातेदारांचा रोष ओळखून मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस तात्काळ या खातेदारांना येऊन भेटले.त्यांनी,सध्या आचारसंहिता सुरु असल्याने याबाबत काही बोलू शकत नाही.तरीही 21 तारिखला मतदान झाल्यानंतर तातडीने याचा पाठपुरावा करू.किंबहुना,येत्या 15 किंवा 16 तारिखला पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी येत असून त्यांच्या समोर ही बाब मांडू.खातेदारांवर कुठचाही परिणाम होऊ देणार नाही.असे आश्वासनही फडणवीस यांनी दिले.त्यानंतर भाजप उपाध्यक्ष किरीट सोमय्या यांनीही पीएमसी खातेदारांना दिलासा दिला.
