Mumbai: COVID patient who went missing from hospital found dead

An 80-year-old Coronavirus patient found dead at Borivali railway station a day after he went missing from the Kandivali situated municipality's Shatabdi hospital where he was undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar will visit the hospital and action is likely to be taken against those involved.

Mumbai: An elderly COVID-19 patient who had gone missing from the Municipality's Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali, he was found dead at Borivali railway station on Tuesday in Maharashtra Mumbai.

The 80-year-old man was undergoing treatment for Coronavirus at Shatabdi Hospital. The elderly patient had been missing from the hospital since Monday (June 8) morning.

The hospital administration started searching for him and after one day he was found dead at Borivali railway station.

The kin of the elderly has blamed the hospital for negligence in treatment and security.

Many questions have been raised against the hospital administration that how security guards did not stop him from leaving the hospital and how the hospital administration allowed him to leave while he was undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar will visit the hospital and action is likely to be taken against those involved.
