Dadar Gurdwara's 'Oxygen Langar' to battle pandemic

Guru Singh Sabha Gurudwara Samiti has taken the initiative and started a free ‘Oxygen Langar’ assistance service to the needy.

Mumbai: Due to the rising infection of the coronavirus, citizens are fighting the challenges from lack of hospital beds, oxygen and medicine.

To curb the situation Shri. Guru Singh Sabha Gurudwara Samiti has extended a helping hand to corona-infected patients. They have organized food delivery for the needy as well as oxygen cylinders if required. ETV Bharat’s special report.

Free of cost oxygen tanks distributed

The patients suffering from corona should not be deprived of oxygen, the health of patients should be stable and they should get oxygen in time.

Guru Singh Sabha Gurudwara Samiti has taken the initiative and started a free ‘Oxygen Langar’ assistance service to the needy.

Considering the situation, the Gurudwara is providing services to the needy so that no one should starve, while on the other hand, it is also providing oxygen to the needy.

A total of 80 oxygen cylinders, small and jumbo, have been procured so that the needy can get oxygen in time and more have been demanded, said Raghbir Singh Gill, President, Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara.

Affection and respectful behavior

Balbir Singh Bath, Secretary of the Gurdwara said, so far, more than 100 needy people have received oxygen services.

The Singh Sabha Gurdwara at Dadar East Naigaon has played a vital role in the supply of essential things to millions of needy people during the pandemic. Even today, their good deed continues successively and every person in need who visits the Gurudwara is treated with affection and respect. Today, the hospital is experiencing a lack of oxygen, but the relatives of the patients informed that they were comforted by the free of cost assistance available at the Gurdwara.

Distribution of ration kits as well

The Gurudwara is supplying not only oxygen tanks but also ration kits to the needy. The Gurudwara had distributed 12,000 ration kits during the last wave as well. In addition to this, more than one lakh unorganized workers and the needy were offered food.
