Maharashtra man dons PPE while tying the knot

In view of the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra's Nalasopara, a 27-year-old man decided to wear a PPE during his wedding ceremony. The wedding was only attended by 20-25 close family members.

Mumbai: In a rather unusual scene, a man was seen getting wedded in full PPE gear in Nalasopara in the Mumbai Metropolitan area.

According to reports, the Sanjay Gupta (27) was about to get married to Babita Gupta (23) earlier, but the coronavirus-induced lockdown forced a delay.

Subsequently, family members of the bride and groom decided to conduct the wedding, where only 20-25 close family members were present.

As the number of COVID-19 cases are on a steep rise in Nalasopara, the groom decided to don a PPE kit while tying the knot.

Along with the PPE suit, he was also wearing gloves and a face-mask. Similarly, even the bride was seen wearing a face-mask.

As of yesterday, the tally of coronavirus cases in Mumbai rose to 64,068 with 1,269 new patients detected. The death toll due to the pandemic reached 3,423 with 114 deaths reported yesterday.
