Mumbai: Launching a major crackdown on drug traffickers over the past few months, the Mumbai Narcotic Control Bureau has on Thursday seized 700 grams of white-coloured powder, purported to be heroin, worth Rs 4 crore at the conference hall of the International Courier Terminal Sahar Cargo Complex in Mumbai.
According to a news agency, the consignee's statement was recorded by the NCB yesterday at Vadodara. Meanwhile, the NCB has also arrested a man named Krishna Murari Prasad in connection with the case. The arrested man is a resident of Gujarat's Vadodara district.
According to the sources the action has been taken under the leadership of NCB divisional director Sameer Wankhede.
Earlier on Tuesday, the NCB had raided Vile Parle in Mumbai and seized a large quantity of heroin.
