Mumbai (Maharashtra): A doctor from Shivdi Tuberculosis Hospital died due to Corona on April 20 after writing a 'last good morning' post on Facebook. Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar condoled the death of Dr Manisha Jadhav who was serving as the chief medical officer. She was 52.
Death due to Corona
The tuberculosis hospital in Shivdi is run by Mumbai Municipal Corporation where Jadhav served as the medical officer. Her husband is working at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital in Kandivali. Manisha Jadhav was admitted to this hospital, also known as Shatabdi hospital, due to fever. She tested positive for Corona.
She succumbed to the pandemic on April 20. She is survived by her husband and a son. She has posted a 'Good morning' message on Facebook while in the hospital and also said she will not be available on Facebook henceforth, hinting at her death. About two days before her death she wished good morning on her Facebook page. She further wrote that maybe it was the last time and it may be that she will not be seen on Facebook anymore.
Mumbai Mayor condoles death
Mayor Kishori Pednekar expressed grief on the death of Dr Manisha Jadhav. Praising her work, the mayor said she was a good doctor who was very sympathetic towards her patient. She was being treated for Corona since she tested positive. She was a dedicated medical officer. 'We have lost a good doctor,' she said while condoling the death of Dr Manisha Jadhav.
