Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has canceled the 10th board exams. The order states that instructions will be given soon regarding marks, certificates, and admission criteria for the 11th standard.
In Maharashtra, the students from 1st to 9th standard were promoted while 10th and 12th exams were postponed. Back then, the state Education Minister had announced that the Class XII examination would be held at the end of May and the Class X examination in June.

Due to the rising infection of the coronavirus, the Education Minister had announced the cancellation of examinations for both the classes. However, Students, parents, and teachers were confused as the government order was not issued due to some technical problems.

Issuing the order, Rajendra Pawar, Deputy Secretary of State said due to the cancellation of the Class X examination, guidelines will be given soon regarding the issue of marks, certificates and admission to Class XI.
