Amravati (Maharashtra): The Sant Gadge Baba University in Maharashtra's Amravati has invited applications for this year's Kalpana Chawla Young Lady Researcher Award from the female research candidates who have undertaken the research of an unravelled nature and have achieved excellence in research in the field of Science, Engineering and Technology within the ambit of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati.
According to the university circular, the eligibility criteria are given below:
- The applicant’s age should be below 35 years as on 30th November 2020.
- The candidate should have done outstanding research work and the work should have been recognised by the experts of the concerned discipline.
- The candidate should have PhD Degree from the Universities of Vidarbha region.
- The candidate should have published outstanding research papers in the concerned research Journals of repute and whose published work is acclaimed as the original and outstanding piece of research in the concerned discipline.
Or
- After obtaining PhD Degree, the candidate must have demonstrated her capacity to pursue independent research work by way of single-author papers (not from her PhD and/or M.Sc. Thesis) in the journals of repute and /or who must have at least one ongoing research project sanctioned by the scientific bodies/agencies such as DST, CSIR, ICAR, DBT, DAE, UGC, etc. and not by any political agencies such as Rajiv Gandhi Pratishthan, Deendayal Upadhyay Trust, etc.

Prescribed applications with related information for the award can be received from the Development Section of the University on or before 30th November 2020 with the payment of Rs.100/-
Along with the completed application, ten copies in all respect, should reach the Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University on or before November 30th 2020.
The University has strongly advised that the delayed applications will not be entertained.
