Mumbai: Huge amounts of explosives have been recovered by police in Mufassil police station limits in Aurangabad prior to the Lok Sabha elections.
According to reports police received a lead that a large number of explosives will be coming from Rohtas to Aurangabad in a car.
Upon receiving the information SDPO Anup Kumar started extensive investigation of the vehicles.
Due to fear of getting caught the miscreants left the vehicle and fled from the scene.
Police recovered the abandoned car with 1000 detonators and 372 kgs of gelatin in it.
"The recovery of these explosives in such large quantity right before the polls is a big success for us. It is yet to be known whether or not these explosive were to be used during the Lok Sabha elections," Anup Kumar said.
According to report, these explosive are enough for an attack bigger than what happened in Pulwana.
