Kangana cities function at home, seeks time to appear before Bandra police

Kangana Ranaut and her sister who was asked to appear before Bandra police station on October 26, in connection with a case filed against them for allegedly promoting enmity between communities, have sought more time to appear before Mumbai police citing marriage function at her home.

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has sought more time to appear before Mumbai police citing marriage function at her home.

Kangana has informed the Mumbai police that she will not be able to come for interrogation till November 15 as she is busy with a wedding function at her house.

Mumbai police, has, however, not responded to Kangana's reply yet.

Mumbai police had summoned Kangana Ranaut and her sister, Rangoli Chandel asking them to appear before cops next week to record their statements in connection with a case filed against them for allegedly promoting enmity between communities through their remarks following a Bandra court order.

They were asked to appear in Bandra police station on October 26.

Earlier, Karnataka's Tumkuru district police registered a case against Kangana for her tweet against farmers who were protesting against the farm laws passed by the Parliament.

Tumkuru court had directed the local Kyatasandra police station to book Ranaut for her tweet on farmers. The ruling came after a complaint was lodged by advocate L. Ramesh Naik last month.

Alleging that the tweet amounted to causing provocation, hurt, enmity between groups and intentional insult, Naik had filed the complaint against the actor in the Tumkur court on September 28 after the Tumkuru police refused to entertain his complaint.
