Mumbai: At least seven properties of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim were sold in an auction held on Tuesday in Maharashtra.
Delhi based advocate, Bhupendra Bhardwaj secured four properties in the virtual auction while another advocate Ajay Srivastava successfully bid for two other properties.
Advocate Srivastava said that he has planned to open a Sanatan Dharma school in the palace which he got in the bidding.
He also asked people to come forward and bid for Ibrahim's other properties so that those can be used for some useful purpose.
Most of the properties that were auctioned were in Mumbake village in Khed taluka of Ratnagiri district in Maharashtra. Ibrahim's ancestral palace was sold for Rs 11.20 lakh.
It may be noted that before the virtual auction, all the properties were inspected by the prospective bidders on November 2.
