Elderly man held for raping five-year-old girl in Pune

A minor was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 67-year-old man in Maharashtra's Pune. The accused who lives next door to the victim was arrested by police.

Pune: A five-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 67-year-old man in Pimpri-Chinchwad area in Maharashtra on October 21. The accused was arrested by Dighi police on October 25 and FIR was registered.

According to senior police inspector Mohan Shinde, the accused took the girl to a barn and tortured her. The next day, the victim was rushed to a hospital and doctors told her mother that she was sexually abused. Police also said that the accused who lives next door was arrested.
