Mumbai: Corona crisis appears to be deepened in Maharashtra as the infection has started to spread across many cities beginning from Vidarbha. COVID19 has raised its head in Aurangabad now after Pune, Nagpur, Amravati and Nasik. As the outbreak spreading in the city rapidly, Aurangabad district and municipal corporation administration have decided to impose a night curfew.
Cities where night curfew is in force
In several cities in the state, measures have been taken to curb the spread of infection by the deadly virus. For this, a decision has been taken to impose a night curfew. In Nagpur, curbs have been introduced for a week. Also, a night curfew has been imposed in Amravati, Pune and Aurangabad city. Restrictions are in force in Nasik city also. As the number of Covid-19 patients is rising in Satara district, a night curfew from 11 PM to 6 AM has been imposed. In Ahmadnagar, night curfew has been announced till 15th of March and 144 section in the day time.
Schools, colleges closed
With Coronavirus spreading its tentacles across the district, all schools and colleges in Pune will be closed till 28th February. All educational institutes in Jalgaon have been closed from 22nd February to 6th March. In Jalna also, with the rapid increase in the number of Corona patients, schools and colleges will be shut till 31st March. In Ahmadnagar, schools and colleges will be open but Corona rules have been made more stringent.
Maximum vaccination in Mumbai, Thane and Pune
To prevent the infection of Coronavirus, a vaccination drive in the state has been started since 16th January. The highest vaccination has been taken place in Mumbai, Pune and Thane till Saturday, 20th February, while the lowest number of people have been vaccinated in Hingoli, Washim, Sindhudurg and Oosmanabad. 8,97,413 beneficiaries have been vaccinated till 20th February in the state. The health department said that no side effects from vaccination have been reported in the state.

Most of the victims are youths
Experts are continuously emphasizing that senior citizens, people ageing above 50 and people having chronic diseases are most vulnerable to Corona infection. But, the reality is quite different in the state. A large number of youths have been found falling prey to the disease. Out of the total number of Corona patients, 21.03 percent are in the age group of 31 to 40. Out of 21,07,224 (according to report till 21st February) Corona patients, 443219 belong to this age group. From the data of patients, it can be seen that the age group 21 to 30 is in third place and 346651 patients belong to this age group.
Jumbo centres in Mumbai will again start operations
The jumbo Covid centres opened by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation in Mumbai for the treatment of Corona patients will again be started with full capacity. In Mulund Jumbo Covid centre, only 250 beds were made available as the number of patients was receding. But, as the number is again showing an increasing trend, remaining ICU centres, as well as general wards, have been started. Daily, 30 to 40 patients are being admitted to these hospitals. The medical staff has also been increased to treat them.
