Mumbai (Maharashtra): BJP MLA Ram Kadam and his supporters were detained by the police outside his residence in Mumbai, as they were taking out a march to Palghar demanding a CBI probe into the lynching case.
"The Maharashtra government is stopping us from going to Palghar. How many voices will you try to shut," Kadam tweeted today morning.

However, the legislator was later released.
The MLA had announced that he would lead a 'Jan Akrosh Yatra' today to demand a CBI inquiry into the Palghar mob lynching case.
"It has been 211 days but no action has been taken by the state government. I demand CBI enquiry in this case. The state government should build a temple where the innocent sadhus lost their lives. Until and unless this government does not give justice to the saint community, we will keep our protest on against this anti-Hindu government," he had said yesterday.

On April 16, 2020, a mob lynched two sadhus -- Chikne Maharaj Kalpavrukshagiri (70) and Sushilgiri Maharaj (35) -- and their driver Nilesh Telgade (30) at Gadchinchale in Palghar district, 140km north of Mumbai.
While the two monks were heading for Gujarat in a car to attend a funeral, the mob suspected that they were thieves.
