Buldhana (Maharashtra): In a bizarre incident, what was suspected to be the corpse of a girl child, floating in the river in Borjawala village falling under Pimpalgaon Raja police station in Khamgaon taluka, turned out to be a doll made of rugs on Thursday.
Nana Tomar, Chairman of Village Dispute Resolution Committee, saw a body floating in the river while returning from his farm, following which he informed the police.
Around 11 pm, the police reached the spot and fished out the body from the river.
The police, who were unaware of the situation at that moment, sent the body for an autopsy to Khamgaon General Hospital, alongside a DNA test.
However, they along with the doctors were surprised to find out that the corpse was actually a doll (of rags).
