Ayurvedacharya Dr Balaji Tambe passes away

Renowned Yoga practitioner and Ayurvedcharya Dr Balaji Tambe has passed away in Pune. Tambe actively worked for Sangitopchar (Music Therapy) and Addhyatma for nearly five decades.

Mumbai: Renowned Yoga practitioner and Ayurvedcharya Dr Balaji Tambe has passed away at the age of 81. He took his last breath at a hospital in Pune. He has been undergoing treatment for a few days here.

Tambe actively worked for Sangitopchar (Music Therapy) and Addhyatma for nearly five decades. He practised Ayurveda and served people through Ayurveda treatment. His book on pregnancy advice for couples named 'Garbhsanskar' is very popular in the country. The book was translated into six languages along with English.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar have condoled Tambe's death.

Tambe made significant contributions in Ayurveda and he will be remembered for this, said Uddhav Thackeray. Pawar remembered Tambe saying he was like a teacher and his demise was a huge loss for the state.
