Jalgaon: Four-year-old Pari from Maharashtra's Jalgaon district has defeated Covid-19, despite her fight with liver cancer. Though her condition had deteriorated she got cured of Covid without ventilator support.
Pari Amol Pati, a resident of Bhadgaon town in the Jalgaon district, is suffering from liver cancer. Five members of her family including her parents, grandparents and aunt tested positive for coronavirus.

Pari's health condition started deteriorating after contracting the virus.
Her family tried to get her admitted to a hospital but failed.
On getting informed, the volunteers of social organisation Chalisgaon Vikas Manch rushed to her help.
They took her to many hospitals in Pachora, Chalisgaon, Jalgaon but no bed was available for her.
Pari's condition was serious and doctors said that it would be difficult to save her and because of cancer, she was in a fragile condition.

Considering the challenges, her family urged the Chalisgaon Vikas Manch volunteers to let Pari stay inside the ambulance till she breathes her last.
The ambulance was parked on the premises of Pachora Primary Health Centre.
Observing her deteriorating condition, Pachora Medical officer Dr Amit Salunkhe took Pari inside the storeroom of the health centre.
With no oxygen in the storeroom, doctors used an oxygen concentrator to stabilise her and without ventilator support, she defeated Covid within a week.
