23 illegal Bangladeshis arrested in Mumbai

Arnala police here arrested twenty-three Bangladeshi nationals including one minor on Tuesday night, following which a case was registered on Wednesday morning. Some of the infiltrators were reportedly quite fluent in speaking Marathi.

Virar (Maharashtra): Twenty-three Bangladeshi infiltrators, including a minor were arrested by the Anti-Terrorism Squad and Unethical Human Traffic Branch under the Arnala Marine Police Station on Wednesday.

Under the guidance of Police Inspector Bhaskar Pukale and Anti-Terrorism Squad, Mansing Patil, Mahesh Gosavi of Palghar Unlawful Traffic Branch carried out the task, on Tuesday night.

Few police officials from Virar West witnessed the action. Some of the infiltrators were reportedly quite fluent in speaking Marathi.

Sanjay Mehra, vice-president of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Nalasopara, stated that these intruders had come to India for work.

MNS chief Raj Thackeray had conducted a march on the 9 February, 2020 to oust the intruders from Pakistan and Bangladesh.

A case has been registered at the Arnala Marine Police Station.
