With no money to conduct father's funeral, child pleads for help

A child whose father had died after suffering from illness for three months was pleading to passers-by for help to conduct the final rites. The homeless family, which has been residing at a roadside waiting-room has no money to conduct the funeral.

Khajuraho (Madhya Pradesh): In a heart-wrenching incident, a child was seen pleading to passers-by for help in conducting her dead father's final rites in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district.

The homeless family, who used to reside in a roadside waiting-room near the Vidyadhar Chowk in Khajuraho, was struck by tragedy when the girl's father died.

The girl was pleading to passers-by for help, as her family did not have any money to conduct her deceased's father's final rites.

She said that no one responded to her pleas.

When the girl and her mother called up their relatives in their native Lalitpur in Uttar Pradesh, even they refused to come to Khajuraho to conduct the funeral.

The girl said that her father had been suffering from illness for the past three months, and died after her family could not afford his treatment.
