Vatsala, oldest elephant in Panna enjoying retired life in National Park

People looking after the elephant say it is given 10 kilograms of porridge in the morning and then she free to roam around, and in the evening it takes dinner after a proper bath.

Panna: The Panna National Park, which is known for tigers, is also equally famous for elephants living here.

A female elephant, Vatsala, who is the oldest in the herd, can't see properly as her eyes have developed age-related problems but it walks with the help of its trunk.

Officials of the park told ETV Bharat that the elephant does not have children of her own but it loves to be with calves of others.
On being asked why Vatsala's name has not been included in the Guinness World Records, they said lack of papers has resulted in it.
