Tribal burnt alive in Madhya Pradesh; CM orders probe

In a shocking incident, a tribal man was allegedly burnt alive in Madhya Pradesh's Guna district over a monetary dispute. State's Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan condemned the incident and ordered to investigate the matter.

Guna (Madhya Pradesh): A tribal man was allegedly burnt alive in Madhya Pradesh's Guna district over a monetary dispute on Friday late night.

The victim, Vijay Sahariya, a resident of Ukawad Khurd village of the district, was rushed to a district hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

In his statement to the police at the hospital, Sahariya accused Radheshyam Lodha, a resident of Ukawad Khurd village.

State's Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan condemned the incident and gave instructions to investigate the matter.

The CM said that he will personally meet the victim's family and ensure that justice is done to them.

"The government is committed to ensure that injustice is not done to anyone in the state. The state government has also made a law for tribes," he said.

Meanwhile, after this incident, the politics in the state has also intensified.

Targeting the Chief Minister Chouhan, the Congress party said his greed for power has left people to suffer in the state.

It is worth mentioning here that the police have booked Lodha under IPC Section 307 (attempt to murder) and other relevant sections of the IPC.
